Welcome to the homepage of Società Dante Alighieri di Pori, a Finnish society of Dante Alighieri, located in Pori, Finland. The Society of Pori was founded in 2003 and it has over 150 members. Its events comprise different courses, cultural events and trips.

The Dante Alighieri Societies are non profit organizations whose objective is to promote and foster the study of the Italian language and culture. The society was named after Dante Alighieri (1265-1321), an Early Renaissance poet from Florence and the author of “The Divine Comedy” (La divina commedia) and who is considered to be the father of the Italian language. There are 450 organizations worldwide, thirteen of them in Finland. The head organization is in Rome, Italy.
